Leading Business Consulting Company Hires
HR Veteran to Aid Companies during Struggling Economy
Newton, Mass., November 17, 2008 – Mage, LLC, New England’s leading entrepreneurial business and management consulting company, today announced that Mark Cohen, a 25-year international human resources veteran, has joined the Mage team as a Senior Consultant. Cohen’s expertise includes technology, healthcare, biotechnology and pharmaceutical human resources, coaching and management and he will be responsible for interim human resource management, recruiting and staffing counsel, as well as organizational consulting and executive coaching. Cohen’s vast experience as an external consultant and internal human resource expert enables him to work with each client on a personal basis and utilize his diverse knowledge to identify corporate goals and develop an organizational and recruiting strategy to enhance growth, even during a struggling economy.“Mark has a strong track record of leading staffing and retention, designing benefits and compensations programs and standardizing operations,” said Jeffrey S. Before joining Mage, Cohen established his own independent human resources consulting company, HR Solutions, where he designed and implemented the staffing plan for a multi-national pharmaceutical company. Before HR Solutions, he served as the Director of Human Resources for The Broad Institute, a 750-employee biotechnology research institute where he reorganized and redesigned the entire staffing process. He also served as the Director of Human Resources at Draeger Medical, where he provided HR support for their IT and patient monitoring division.
Prior to that, Cohen served as the Worldwide Director of Human Resources for Phillips Medical Systems and a Senior HR Manager at Maxtor Corporation. Cohen also managed human resources efforts at Digital Equipment Corporation for 15 years and held training and human resources positions at Fidelity, General Mills and Polaroid Corporation.
