Newton - Jewish National Fund hosted its first corporate
breakfast at the Marriott Hotel. Guest speakers included Scott
Harshbarger, JNF President Jay Pabian, Zone President Jeffrey
Davis, Col. (Res.) Sharon Davidovich and event Chair Robert Cohan
of Cohan, Rasnick Meyerson, LLP.
Harshbarger, past attorney general of Massachusetts and national
president and CEO of Common Cause, spoke about how to manage the
fundamental shift in culture after the accounting, investing and
leadership scandals that rock corporate America.
Speakers at the March 16 event gave briefings on JNF projects
in Israel including building communities in the Negev, alleviating
the water crisis and building security roads along the border
of Lebanon.
Paul Kline, chair of JNF Tree of Life Dinners, received a plaque
for his outstanding commitment in helping raise over $200,000
for the Hatzeva Reservoir in Israel.
Guests included Robert Abrams, Arthur Ceder, Ken Davis, Mark Furman,
Matt Gilman, JNF Vice President Ron Lubin, JNF Major Gifts Chair
Todd Patkin, Joe Stone, Israel Economic Counsel Joseph Abraham,
